Sad news from the world of comedy: Reggie McFaddenthe actor famous for appearing on HBOand Def Comedy Jam and foxand In living colordied at 57, according to his family.
McFadden’s sister, the author Bernice McFaddentold TMZ on Monday morning that the US Department of State to contact the family on Sunday to inform them of his death in Tanzania. Reggie had reportedly lived there for the past 18 years. The family has not been told when or how he died, the service reports.

Bernice also revealed to the news agency that Reggie had been estranged from his family for some time because of what she described as “family s**t.”
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Reggie turned to stand-up comedy while dealing with life in the housing projects. His career began in 1991 with Def Comedy Jameventually leading him to Los Angeles, where he worked for a long time as a comedian gaining fame throughout that world.
He parlayed that into a successful television career, including acting roles on shows Martin, Mosesand Coach.
In 1993, he entered the fifth and final season of In living colorplaying multiple sketch characters. In addition, his credits also included Getting Personal, Extinguish your enthusiasm, Jacob’s Ladderand Little Nicky.
And now, he’s gone. So sad. Reggie was a talented comedian whose work brought laughter to many, and for many years.
