Grey’s Anatomy shook things up with a couple getting back together after an emotional death.
On Thursday, November 5, an episode of the ABC show, Jules (Adelaide Kane) and Winston (Anthony’s Hill) dancing awkwardly around each other in the hospital. They had difficulty working together on a case that led to the patient’s death.
Jules later visited Winston’s office, where they both admitted that they still had feelings. They slept together, which indicated that they were an official thing again, after the hard day’s work.
The favorite couple didn’t last long before they broke up earlier this season. An exhibitionist And Marinis afterwards they joked about the challenges Jules and Winston would face in their relationship.
“We’re definitely going to play that out, so you’re going to see where that goes right away with how they have to navigate this new transition of being her direct supervisor,” she told Dateline in October. “And you’re right, it seems now, we crossed the line, and now we’re looking back, shaking it. It puts a whole other layer on it, whether they can stay together or not, and if they stay together, how are they going to get along? It’s going to be messy, and there’s going to be conflict, and they might not agree on it.”
Marinis also mentioned the overarching theme of the entire season.
“I’ve been looking at identity as a theme, and that’s reflected in that concierge floor,” she said. “People have very different ideas about it, about how you treat patients and what kind of doctors they are, so it’s really about identity and when the world is in a state of rapid change, do you change with it or do you stay true to yourself?”
She continued: “I feel like a lot of the stories this season involve our characters being in one place while the world is just spinning around us, and I think we all have a little experience right now.
As for whether Grey’s alums would make surprise guest appearances this season, Marinis said, “We’re always open to bringing back old characters.
She concluded: “It always just depends on how much room we have creatively and people’s schedules because people leave the show and go on to take other jobs, and it gets difficult.
Grey’s Anatomy on ABC Thursdays at 10pm ET before airing the next day on Hulu.
