General Hospital just dropped exciting news that suggests we have a new romance coming Port Charles fast Tanisha Harper recently confirmed that the soap is officially piloting a romantic pairing between Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Jordan Ashford.
Today we are going to talk about the growing relationship between Michael and Jordan and the possibility that they will have a real love affair.

All right. So, the actress Tanisha Harper, who plays Jordan Ashford on it General Hospitalshe did an interview recently, and she confirmed that the powers that be in the soap are indeed testing the waters for a romantic pairing with Michael and Jordan. I mean, we see them thrown together in scenes. And at the time, it made sense because Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was Michael’s partner.
They work closely together at Aurora. And with Curtis full of it to PentonvilleJordan is running Aurora Media in his place as a sitting CEO. And Tanisha said at first she didn’t know for sure what the powers that be had in store for Michael and Jordan. But Tanisha said she had a feeling they were going there. She said she could see what was happening with Jordan and Michael. And now they are just testing things.

Tanisha said it makes sense to explore the possibility of unexpected chemistry between Jordan and Michael. And Tanisha said she thinks it’s good television. I agree. And she said that watching that connection between Jordan and Michael was rather strange. She said at first that the writers were just screwing her up. Tanisha said that she and Rory Gibson, who plays Michael, were starting to do scenes together, more scenes here and there, more often. And from there, Tanisha said she thought the writers and showrunner Frank Valentini liked it. And so, we see things going on between Jordan and Michael.
Now, so far they are totally friends and Jordan is still hell bent on putting Curtis in jail and hurting him now. But Michael and Jordan have been spending a lot more time together recently. The two characters never crossed paths much further General Hospital. But with Curtis in it Pentonville now, Jordan works with Michael at Aurora Media every day.
General Hospital: Jordan & Michael grow closer
So, Jordan is with Michael all day. They spend a lot of time together professionally. Curtis is completely out of the picture. And also, Jordan has been confiding in Michael lately because he understands what Jordan is going through with her facial scar. Michael knows what Jordan has been struggling with since she almost died in that horrible, horrible car accident. And Jordan has opened up to Michael a few times and he’s been very sympathetic.
Now, to be fair, Jordan caused his own injury while Michael was one hundred percent suffering from it. Plus, now Jordan’s sister, Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard), is in Port Charlesand she is already trying to make things difficult for Jordan. Right off the bat, Monet was bringing out Jordan’s confusion about the scar on her face. And then when Michael’s brother, if you remember, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) was alive, he and Michael had some very rocky points in the sibling relationship.
So, sibling rivalry is one more thing that Michael can relate to Jordan. In addition, Michael arranged for Jordan to have facial reconstruction surgery at the same German clinic in Baden he went to after he was badly burned and nearly died when Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) lighthouse was bombed by Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Michael coming through for Jordan on GH
So, the doctors in Germany did wonders on Michael’s face. He has no scar. So, he helps Jordan get the same surgery he had. And Michael just told Jordan this week that he knows it’s a bad time because of all the stuff that’s going on with Curtis in this attack. Michael obviously feels bad about Curtis being in the hospital after being beaten up. Pentonville because it seems that Sonny was his father who was responsible although, as we all know, it was circumstantial. But Michael found out that there is an opening at the clinic in Germany which means that Jordan will get her scars removed as early as next week.
So, that’s good news. And Michael has really come through for Jordan. And Monet confirmed all of Jordan’s insecurities about the scars. So, Jordan struggled with that as well as Curtis’ attack. And then here’s Michael getting Jordan this miraculous surgery to restore her looks. Obviously, she’s going to be really grateful to Michael. In addition, Jordan may be looking for proof that she looks beautiful again. And with Curtis behind bars, he can’t do that.
General Hospital: Tanisha Harper Thrilled
Also, during the interview, Tanisha Harper said, “Michael and Jordan bond over their trauma, which is very similar, especially since they’re both worried about Curtis being locked up.” So on his way to prison, you remember that he arranged for Jordan to work closely with Michael and I suspect in the long run that Curtis might regret doing that because of the closeness of development between Jordan and Michael on it. Tanisha Harper said that Michael understands what Jordan is going through on a deep level which means that they have created a very strong bond and she said that fans see it too. The actress also believes that Michael and Jordan’s stories are heading towards forbidden attraction and that it may be difficult for Michael to resist Jordan. Also, Tanisha said that she and Rory Gibson were already friends before they started working in scenes together. So, she is excited to work with Rory.
And Tanisha said that Rory is a great actor and she is excited to see where things go between Jordan and Michael. But she also thinks some fans are going to be mad. Of course, if Jordan and Michael start to develop a real attraction and maybe real feelings, it will be very messy. Currently, although Michael is single as a principal, it is clear that we know that Jordan is in a very committed relationship with Curtis. She promised to stay while he was in prison.
Curtis to betray GH
In addition, Michael and Curtis are also close friends and business associates. So, if Jordan and Michael move past friendship and cross lines, Curtis is going to be angry and devastated and it’s going to be even worse because Michael is a good friend. Plus, if Jordan and Curtis break up and Jordan gets involved with Michael, that will prove Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) right. Because it wasn’t that long ago, Portia told Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) that Curtis and Jordan wouldn’t last.
Portia said that Curtis and Jordan fell apart before and she said that Curtis and Jordan will fall apart again and it looks like that’s the direction we’re headed. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. I’m excited to see what’s next for Michael and Jordan. And what could make this complicated is also Willow Tait (Katelyn McMillan) as she is now conspiring with Curtis to bring Sonny down because of the alleged attack.
Willow wants Sonny out of the way because he is helping Michael and Curtis wants to pay Sonny back for the attack. So, if Willow gets any inkling that Michael and Jordan are an item, I suspect that Willow will run back to Curtis and blow everything up and then Michael might be targeted by Curtis, which would be great for Willow. It all seems to get very messy very quickly.
