Days of Our Lives pits EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) against Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) secret brother relationship with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and a sibling rivalry that EJ doesn’t even know about. And even worse, Dominic Marino could be planning to take everything from EJ, not just the Kiriakis mansion and not just the Phoenix ring.
Days of Our Lives: EJ At Low Point
Let’s get into this new sibling rivalry coming soon between EJ and Dominic. Right now, EJ’s world seems to be falling apart. This week, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) woos EJ to Belle Black (Martha Madison). And it looks like Johnny is ready to testify against EJ for his drug cover-up with George O’Halloran.
Besides that blind side coming his way, EJ’s plan to rob the Kiriakis mansion was thwarted and he was looking forward to crushing. Titan. But that just fell apart too. Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) scored a big goal Monte Carlo and he was able to save Titan by paying off EJ’s loan even though Philip’s text to Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) to stop the house from closing didn’t go through for some reason. Anyway, EJ lost his revenge on the Kiriakis brothers.
Dominic & Dante teamed up on DOOL
And even worse, his mysterious brother, Dominic, is the man behind the purchase of the Kiriakis mansion. In addition, Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) boyfriend, Dante Vitali (Franco LoPresti), is working with Dominic to try to ensure that the Kiriakis family could not save their home.
But Philip just got lucky. To make matters worse, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Maggie Horton (Susanne Rogers) plan to reverse the sale of the Kiriakis mansion by claiming there are defects in the property that will prevent the sale.
They hope they can pay Dominic back the money and keep the house. We’ll see if that works out or not. Anyway, EJ won’t have it and it’s blocked. And I suspect when Dante shows up this week surprising Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh) that Dante may be in Salem to take over the Kiriakis mansion for his old boarding school friend Dominic.
EJ Careful on Days
So, EJ was already shouting about the mysterious man Dominic looting the mansion after him. Remember, he went to Italy with Belle and Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) specifically because EJ was hoping to confront Dominic, and he’s frustrated that he didn’t get a chance to see the mystery man. Besides, it was strange to him and Chad how many of Stefano’s favorite things were lying around Dominic’s mansion.
And in addition to EJ’s disappointment with Philip and Xander Kiriakis, we know EJ is furious about the missing precious Phoenix ring that Stefano used to wear on his pinky. That’s because Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) sent that ring to the new heir Dominic. And she’s been lying right in EJ’s face about it. Additionally, Rita follows Dominic’s orders and drops a tip to find Belle and Chad in Italy.
And the fact that Stefano’s will includes this book to start the mystery also indicates that Dominic was the one who was supposed to take over for the Phoenix, not EJ. Last week Days of Our LivesEJ heard Rita and Marlena talking about Dominic being Stefano’s son with Marlena. And this week, we have EJ confronting Rita about what she knows about Dominic.
EJ Grills Draw on DOOL
We’ll find out exactly what EJ heard once he starts questioning Rita. Therefore, EJ may suspect that his time as the expected leader of the DiMera family is in jeopardy and he may feel that Rita is no longer as loyal as she claims to be. And of course he would be right about that. Also, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) questions EJ this week. And I’m sure that’s about the statement Johnny made to the cops.
So, our law is breathing down EJ’s neck soon. We have a fake confrontation with Rita. We have his son turning on him. Plus, Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) just quit her job and has been kissing him. Things are not looking good for the mighty Elvis Jr. right now. And I suspect Dominic may be after more than just a house and a ring.
Sami Focused on Days of Our Lives
Dominic is well known in Europe for what he has done in the world of finance with his hedge fund. He is known to be ruthless. We also know that he is working with Dante, who is involved with EJ’s ex-wife and EJ’s baby mama, Sami. That doesn’t sound like a coincidence. I think Dante was focusing on Sami, to get close to her, to get close to EJ’s daughter, Sydney. And all this may be for ulterior motives. And since Dante is close to Dominic and doing his bidding, that’s why he could have started dating Sami as part of whatever he’s planning with Dominic.
So, maybe EJ will lose everything before his younger brother did with him, which will fulfill Stefano’s legacy because he was so ruthless. I expect that we are finally going to meet Dominic when he makes his way to Salem most likely during the November sweep, which begins in October the twenty-ninth.
Dominic takes it all on days
In addition to his sidekick Dante joining Sami and getting close to Sydney, as well as taking over the Kiriakis mansion, there are many more opportunities for chaos. EJ lost his right to own the hospital. It has been moved into receivership until another buyer can be found. Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) lost her chance as a customer. But Dominic could move in and buy up Salem University Hospital.
And of course, that would make a lot of people happy because Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) don’t want EJ anywhere near the hospital. Besides, Dominic might buy it since his mother Marlena is a doctor there. That would hit EJ hard. I also wonder if EJ was set up by Rita. She might be the reason why EJ might go down for the GabiChic false purse ring.
Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) has just hired Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) to trace the internet breadcrumbs back to the thieves and it may be a false trail designed to implicate EJ. So, we could also see Dominic waiting in the wings for another scene at Titan. There are rumors about Philip starting to gamble again as he tries to help Gabi with this dark web thing. So, that could give Dominic an opening to get in Titan. No one seems to be on EJ’s side right now except maybe Sydney.
Dominic Tied To Clyde On DOOL?
And she loves EJ, but she also doesn’t want Johnny to go down for anything to do with EJ’s dirty deeds. Besides, he feels really stupid for letting Cat get close to him with her previous ISA connections. And EJ’s special Cat is still ISA, and it’s not wrong. And I wonder if Dominic knew about his brother EJ and Cat while they were both in the hospital in Italy.
I mean, I wouldn’t rule it out that Dominic might have known Clyde Weston (James Read) and they’ve been involved in some way to get information about EJ. Who knows where this all ends? There are tents everywhere. It seems that Dominic has been lying down and waiting for the right moment to strike at EJ. And that was probably when Stefano’s death was confirmed. Maybe that’s what made Dominic launch his big plan against EJ.
That seems to have different aspects, personal and professional. It wouldn’t surprise me at least if Dominic works his way into Cat’s life as well. EJ doesn’t trust Cat right now. But it’s still hot for her. And if she ends up as Dominic’s arm candy, that’s one more way for him to slap big brother EJ. Below, with Johnny turning on him, the loss of the hospital, the mansion sold, and Rita betraying him, EJ is circling the drain, and he doesn’t even know it yet.
