Days of Our Lives reveals that Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) made amends after Cat left her role. Of course, EJ was very upset. And then this week, Cat came over to drop stuff, clearly trying to cheer EJ up, and it worked. So, Cat ended up in his arms kissing EJ. But can he trust Cat?
And honestly, EJ and Cat could both miss each other in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Let’s get into the details of EJ and Cat’s make out session.
Days of Our Lives: Secret ISA Cat
So, Cat stopped working for EJ when he started to trust her after she admitted that she was ISA an agent But Cat lied by omission and did not tell EJ that she is still working for the spy agency for Andrew Donovan (Colton Little). And even worse, EJ is Cat’s designation, and EJ is clueless, as far as we know.
And if you remember, Cat and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) got together last year. Therefore, they have had more than a year to investigate EJ’s criminal activities at Salem University Hospital. Cat was supposed to be analyzing as usual, but she has been much more hands-on with EJ’s case, and Rafe and Andy are concerned.
Cat returns and EJ kisses her on DOOL
So, after EJ gave her the cold shoulder over the ISA thing, thought Cat, “Okay, if I walk away from EJ, he might chase me.” And it worked. This week onwards Days of Our LivesCat went there DiMera mansion to return her key and other things she had as EJ’s assistant. And Cat convinces EJ that she made a copy of the house key and his hard drive to give to ISA. And the funny thing is that Cat might have done that.
Then she and EJ hash things out, and he admits to Cat that he doesn’t know who to trust. Not even his son, because Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) has squealed to the Salem PD. He sent EJ out about the Corysal cover up. Even worse, her ride-or-die, Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney), has turned on and is now gone. She wouldn’t tell EJ the truth about Dominic Marino and whether or not he was his long lost brother.
Additionally, Rita stole EJ’s Phoenix ring, and sent it to Dominic. So, EJ is at this vulnerable place, and he almost asked Cat to come work as his personal assistant again and be his friend. And EJ also made it clear that he wanted Cat to be more than friends. EJ and Cat then shared a passionate kiss.
And when EJ kissed her, Cat looked shocked for a moment, then leaned in a bit. So I think her conversation with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is on her mind. Remember when Doc asked Cat if she had feelings for EJ, did she love him? Cat denied it to Marlena. But honestly this lipstick is like pure magic.
Days of Our Lives: Cat’s Honey Trap works very well
And Cat hoped her absence would make EJ’s heart grow fonder. So, her plan worked, perhaps too well. Cat has this electric chemistry with EJ, at least as far as it seems. And Cat set that honey trap even before this last kiss, though F.B.I Rafe’s partner and i ISA the leader Andy warned her against it.
And right now, Cat and EJ still remember bits and pieces of their time in the hospital years ago. Most importantly, Cat and EJ remember the classic book Wuthering Heights. We saw flashes of Cat reading to EJ while he was in bed covered in bandages.
EJ asks Cat to dig up dirt on Dominic on DOOL
So, back in the present day, EJ asked Cat to use her ISA research skills to find out as much as she can about Dominic. And it’s urgent, because according to Dante Vitali (Franco LoPresti) and EJ’s daughter, Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh), Dominic should arrive in Salem fast So, EJ might find out that his brother supported the purchase of the Kiriakis mansion because the search failed. We’ll see how that goes.
Since Dominic doesn’t own that house, he might take it over DiMera mansion. And nothing is going to stop him from coming to him Salem. It seems he wants to take over the entire DiMera family and the business, which is the last thing EJ wants. He told Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) that Dom might be behind the codex replacing him as executor of Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) will. So there is a lot to be suspicious about.
And we know Cat will be curious to know more about Dominic too. She’s still trying to bring EJ to justice, but there’s the question of whether he’s playing Cat too, because you know EJ might really be testing her loyalty. Cat and EJ may both be playing with each other’s hearts and minds, but at the end of the day, I think he and Cat could fall in love with each other, and that would definitely put her in a confusing and possibly more dangerous situation.
Days of Our Lives: Who’s Playing Who?
EJ is obviously using her to get information about Dominic, but his attraction to Cat is why he asked her back. First, EJ is a criminal mastermind, and Cat is an excellent analyst, especially diving deep into financial records. So, she can follow the paper trail, find Dominic, and learn more about him for EJ. However, if Cat is not careful, this could make EJ wonder if she has been spying on him in the same way.
I see this going badly for Cat if she allows her growing feelings for EJ to judge her and lead to mistakes that raise red flags. Or even worse, Cat falls for him, and then she buries evidence like that in the ISA and F.B.I he can’t use it against EJ. And of course, there is a possibility that Cat will be played as well, since EJ is not a problem. He thinks about Cat’s connection to the ISAespecially with this request to use those skills to dig up dirt on Dominic.
I don’t think EJ is going to take any more betrayal. So, he might betray Cat first, and EJ might trick Cat into doing something illegal, and then EJ blackmails her. On the flip side, Cat finds the evidence she needs to help them ISA and F.B.I take down the mighty EJ once and for all. But when push comes to shove, will Cat take it down? Because there are feelings.
Earlier this summer, Cat and EJ talked about their relationship. And Cat told EJ that she wanted to take things slow. And that was probably because Cat had been warned not to step over the honey trap, because Andy flatly told Cat, “Don’t sleep with EJ.
Fallout Cat and Chad on DOOL
Also complicating things, Cat may have residual feelings for EJ’s brother, Chad. Well, maybe so, but I think those are over now because it blew up at Cat. Remember, Chad scolded Cat for hiding the ISA from him, because EJ told Chad that it was Cat ISA. So, Chad began to question why Cat pretended to be Abigail Deveraux DiMera (AnnaLynne McCord) when she came to Salembecause i ISA callers should have done it so she could take down Clyde Weston (James Read) and not do what she did. And instead, Cat appealed to Clyde.
Anyway, Chad is with Belle Black (Martha Madison) now, and it’s even been said that EJ seems to like Cat better than she does. It’s clear that Chad and Marlena feel that something is going on between Cat and EJ, and Cat could lose more than her job if she really gets cozy with EJ. So, Cat and EJ could end up Salemthe hottest new couple. But the question is, how real is that relationship?
a lot Days of Our Lives fans think that EJ is just hitting on Cat for his own agenda, and that it’s not about EJ caring for Cat. In addition, it could be something worse, as EJ got the same kind of obsessive love that Stefano had for the Queen of the Night Marlena. So, I’ve mentioned before that EJ could use Cat as his own queen of the night, but now that we see that she might be falling for EJ, that’s a very different situation than between Marlena and Stefano, because she never thought of giving Stefano even one willing kiss. So, we have to wait and see if EJ is using Cat, or if she is using him, or if they are both using each other.
