Cindy Crawford and family break silence on Presley Gerber’s death: “We love you forever”

Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber and their daughter, Kaia, have broken their silence for the first time since Presley Gerber died last month.

“We are heartbroken to lose our beloved son and brother. We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years. He is a sweet, beautiful soul who is loved and cherished, now and forever,” said a statement from the family that was shared on social media. “We are so proud of how he appeared in the world, with kindness and vulnerability. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain. Until we meet our sweet boy again.

Presley Gerber died on September 20 at a Santa Monica rehabilitation facility at the age of 27. The cause of his death is still pending, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s website. But the police in Santa Monica have said that it was too much suspicion about death. He was often open about his battles with addiction and mental health on his social media channels.

None of Presley Gerber’s family had spoken publicly about his death until Sunday. His parents, supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, shared the same message on their Instagram accounts, while his younger sister, actor and model Kaia Gerber, shared her own.

“I love you the bluest, to the moon and back and back again, big brother forever,” the caption read.

Her role also paid tribute to Presley Gerber, recounting experiences from her childhood and how she has struggled with a sense of emptiness since his death.

“To say that loving you is the easiest thing in the world would mean that it required no effort at all. I was born loving you. I will die loving you. There has never been anything else,” Kaia’s message said. “I’m learning how to love you when I can’t see you. How to tell you something without picking up my phone to call you. How to be a sister in a world I can’t reach for you.”
