ABC News Correspondent Will Reeve has revealed the diagnosis of testicular cancer.
The 34-year-old journalist was diagnosed in April, and as of September 2026, he is cancer-free!
He said that his wife Amandawhom he had married just months before, prompting him to examine a suspicious lump on his left testicle. He underwent an orchiectomy to remove the testicle, which led to a cancer diagnosis in May 2026.
He was eventually diagnosed with embryonal carcinoma. According to the Cleveland Clinic, it is “a rare type of testicular cancer. It is a type of tumor that contains abnormal germ cells – the cells that eventually become sperm. Common treatments include surgery to remove the tumor and chemotherapy.”
After the diagnosis, he underwent a procedure called a retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, which removed lymph nodes to ensure the cancer did not spread. Unfortunately he had to undergo chemotherapy in July, as cancer was found in some of the lymph nodes. He underwent two rounds of chemotherapy. He was finally able to ring the bell at the end of July to mark the end of his treatment.
“I want people to know that this is something that can happen. It’s shocking. It’s weird. It’s a little weird to talk about just because of what we’re really talking about here, but you’re OK, almost always,” he told ABC.
