Onward Days of Our Liveswe are going to see EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) dragged into the Salem Police Department again. This time it looks like EJ could be arrested over the Gabi Chic fake bags It turns out that Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) is the reason EJ is dragged in by the cops.
We know that Rita has her back on EJ since she stole the Phoenix ring and sent it to Dominic Marino (Kyle Pryor). Things are about to get a lot worse soon. We would see EJ arrested for stealing Gabi Hernandez’s (Cherie Jimenez) designs to make hampers.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: EJ could be arrested thanks to Rita over the fake bags
It would be pretty wild if EJ finally pays for one of his crimes thanks to Rita. Only it’s not one of EJ’s heinous crimes that suffers those consequences. It’s not for Coryseal or Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) fatal poisoning, but for injured sparrows.
It was last month Days of Our Lives when we find out that EJ and his once loyal assistant and henchwoman Rita are behind the stick Gabi Chic handbags. Gabi has been trying to get to the bottom of who is stealing her designs and profiting from the efforts.
At first she thought it was Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) or Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) who was getting revenge on Gabi for her physical betrayal. That tickled Philip, and she had to back up. Gabi also suspected someone at DiMera maybe he did. Arianna Horton (Vico Escorcia) panicked because of it Gabi Chic the bag was lost at her internship.
If you remember, Ari had a prototype bag that Gabi gave her. Ari said he went missing at work for a few hours, but then turned up. That was a different view for Gabi than someone had DiMera was involved.
In fact, EJ always denies everything he is accused of, and 99% of the time it is a lie. I suspect this may have been done as EJ’s response to Gabi using her late husband Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) inheritance from Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) estate to stop him. Titan.
DOOL spoilers: Leo and Gwen help Gabi keep track of the robot
In addition, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), the Salem Seerthe investigative reporter, has been helping Gabi to try to get to the bottom of this design theft. Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) has also been helping Gabi and Leo. None of them would be surprised to learn that EJ is behind this.
In fact, it was Rita who brought in an anonymous tip Salem PD that Leo was trading fake goods. There were boxes of Gabi Chic crash in his hotel room. When Rita calls into the roof, Detective Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) arrives, sees the boxes, arrests Leo and takes him down to the SPD.
Fortunately, Gabi promised Leo. The charges did not stand. Even Shawn agreed that the whole thing was suspicious when the truth came out. Leo was sure EJ was behind that too.
Leo thought that EJ somehow found out and that Leo was arrested to take the heat off himself. But it was Rita, because EJ was busy with the Cora Seal cover, the drama of George O’Halloran (Michael Rose), the anger of Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), and the missing Phoenix ring as well as Dominic’s secret.
Johnny and Sydney decode the secret shipping documents
This week someone left a manila envelope at Johnny’s door. He was expecting a kid in a Halloween costume who was looking for a date. Instead, he found a trick: DiMera Enterprises delivery documents. That had Johnny scratching his head, so he called Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh) over to the house.
Once Johnny showed the stack of shipping reports in Sydney, she surprised Johnny. Sydney quickly reported what she saw. She told Johnny that there were weight differences between the warehouse and the loading dock scale measurements, which is strange.
Sydney talked to Johnny about something being dragged into the cargo containers before shipping. They also noted that this could include a number of things: stolen goods, firearms, counterfeit items.
Not only that, but Sydney and Johnny saw that their father EJ’s name was all over those fake documents. Sydney told Johnny that she would investigate the documents further and see what other juicy tidbits the papers might contain.
Spoilers suggest that Rita delivers the envelope and is working with Dominic
We know that Rita went missing from Salem a few weeks ago and full of ghost EJ. That prompted him to lash out and leave angry voicemails. But with Dominic in now Salemwe saw that Rita is with him.
We know from Dante Vitali’s (Franco LoPresti) conversation with EJ that Rita has been around Dominic for decades. He said that Rita took Dominic to and from their fancy boarding school. So Rita was part of Stefano’s mystery, and Rita was definitely connected to what happened soon to EJ with the Salem PD.
I feel that it was Rita who delivered that evidence envelope to Johnny, knowing that he would not turn a blind eye. EJ has abandoned Johnny and declared an unforgivable disappointment. A few turns of phrase like that.
EJ insulted Johnny because he betrayed him by turning him into the cops for Cora Seal’s cover. It turns out that EJ has another release coming soon that involves the cops. And it involves someone else he once trusted: Rita.
Theo and Chad join the hunt on Days of Our Lives
Now we have Sydney involved in uncovering the mystery of shipping. Days of Our Lives Spoilers say Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) and Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd) agree to help Johnny this week. Both have been working at DiMera. Maybe they can help Johnny and Sydney get to the bottom of this.
Theo consults with Gabi, using his computer skills to try to track down the frauds. Maybe Chad will give some of the information to Leo to help his investigation Spectators.
This seems to be part of Dominic’s master plan to take down EJ. Then Dominic can take for granted what he sees as his rightful place DiMera Empire an heir
Rita’s interrogation room moment in the Promo
EJ has stepped up so much, honestly, it’s a miracle he isn’t already The States. I mean, heck, Rita might have even suggested the cheat Gabi Chic bag scheme for him so she could put out those bread crumbs to go back to EJ. I’m also sure that Rita managed to keep her own hands clean. The documents appear to have only EJ’s name on them. Watch the full video on YouTube.
In the big fall and winter promo, EJ is in the SPD interrogation room and Rita is there. She tells EJ that she has always loved him as if he were her own flesh and blood. As Rita says this, EJ beams. I think at this point he realizes that Rita has turned on him. EJ can doubt that he never had her loyalty.
Thanks to Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander, the ISA George has a laptop that might turn up some evidence on EJ, but I doubt it. I think only George will be involved. But with someone, probably Rita, giving Johnny the suspicious shipping reports, it looks like EJ’s days are numbered.
Will the SPD finally hold EJ accountable?
Gabi and Leo push for answers. As are Johnny and Sydney. I suspect it all comes together. Johnny already went to the cops about EJ for the Cora Seal. He might do it again, especially since he and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) are about to leave town and move to Italy.
But I have a feeling that even with the shipping documents and Gabi’s accusations, it won’t be easy for the people. SPD. I mean, EJ is slippery as an eel. He is difficult to break down, and is rarely punished or has any consequences for his crimes.
But thanks to Rita’s final betrayal, the cops may finally have a chance to put EJ behind bars. We’ll see how it goes.
