Amanda Seyfried ‘On the edge of tears’ in an interview

Amanda Seyfried fans are raising eyebrows after an exchange left her looking very emotional, just weeks after she confirmed a major personal reveal.

Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski met more than ten years ago while working on “The Last Word” and started dating in 2016. The following year, in March 2017, they split. They now have two children, a daughter and a son.

However, last month, the Hollywood couple announced their separation in a joint post and have been honest about what led to that decision. Her recent interview now has fans questioning if it has anything to do with the way she is handling the new direction her life is taking.

While on the red carpet at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, the “Mamma Mia” actress gave the most unexpected answer when asked how life was going.

‘It’s exciting,’ the mother-of-two could be seen saying in a video shared on her Instagram, appearing worried and holding back tears.

When the reporter mentioned how difficult it was to do interviews, Seyfried agreed, saying “Yeah, but it’s … for a good reason.”

She then went on to say, “Like, I don’t know, I think that everything that happens is going to happen, everything – everybody that’s in your life is meant to be in your life. That’s just kind of – yes – and I’m here tonight, I’m meant to be here, I’ll get home tomorrow, and I’m meant to be home and so on and so forth.”

When asked what she likes to talk about, the “Housemaid” star replied, “I like to talk about, you know, the emus; I like to talk about the emus. And I like to talk about Halloween. And you can contact me if you want to talk about everything that you’ve got to do, like, apple pie and, like, olives and, you know, like real hard cheeses good.”

The actress herself seemed puzzled by the conversation, later saying, “What am I even saying?” Under the post.

Fans defended Amanda Seyfried after an emotional interview

Viewers quickly responded, sharing their concerns about the suggestions she was asked and her comments to them.

A fan expressed concern about her mental state, writing “I don’t know what she’s going through, but it’s obviously very heavy for her because she was close to tears during that conversation.

Another said, “She’s so sad, why,” while someone else wrote, “This is so unfair to her.”

Others questioned the interaction, apparently pointing fingers at the interviewer: “I don’t like this reporter. He doesn’t care.”

The sentiment was echoed by others as someone else wrote, “This breaks my heart. Who asks someone who is trying to keep it together these kinds of questions!!!”

Not everyone saw the exchange as negative, with one person praising both Seyfried and the interviewer: “This woman is incredibly strong. Conquering the vultures of the red carpet as she goes through one of the most important moments of her entire life.”

The event comes a month after the former lovebirds announced the end of their marriage in a joint Instagram post, quietly confirming that they had already been separated for some time.

In the joint statement, they said that the decision was not made overnight but that it was carefully considered, with the best interests of the family at the centre.

This approach was not surprising, as Seyfried and Sadoski have maintained relative privacy in their relationship over the years.
