“They just go down every time,” she complained, noting that the look just isn’t built for women with “muscular, thick thighs.”
“They’ll wait for just a second,” she said. “But then, as soon as I start moving around, it finally slips.” Moments later, the creator put that theory to the test with a little strut for the camera. “How cute is this? I’m Velma from Scooby-Doo,” she said, just as one bag began to slowly stretch south. “See, there it goes.”
As it turned out, even Ashley Graham spent a night fighting at thigh highs. Back in 2019, the model paired a denim dress with thigh-high boots for Gigi Hadid’s birthday party. She later admitted on Instagram that she had to “pull them up all night,” but she still got them over her “life-saving waist” and felt “sexy AF.”
Olympic rugby star Ilona Maher has also been vocal about embracing her muscular legs, urging women in June 2025 to “wear the short skirt that lets everyone know your thighs don’t just touch; they pretty much melt into one.”

Taylor was clearly enjoying the finished look, even as the socks refused to cooperate. She showed off the suit, walked for the camera, and caught the clothes slipping in real time. The orange top, red skirt, and glasses did the part, but keeping the knee highs in place was another story. Her excitement about being Velma came with a running show of the most unusual details in the outfit.
That little walk was enough to prove her point. Standing still, the stockings could stay briefly where she wanted them. As soon as she began to move, one began to slide, breaking into the suit appearing with the exact problem she had just described. It was a clothes check with an instant reality check built in, and Taylor kept both in the video.

Graham’s experience offers the same example from a very different night out. Her thigh-high boots required several adjustments during a celebrity birthday party, while Taylor’s knee-highs began to slip while trying on the dress.
They both liked the way they looked, even when some extra attention was needed as part of the outfit. Maher’s message takes a different angle to the conversation, encouraging women to show off their muscular legs in a short skirt.
Together, the examples leave room to enjoy a scene and admit when the clothes themselves make it more difficult to wear.
Velma Gets a New Chapter in Netflix’s ‘Scooby-Doo’ Series
As for Taylor’s outfit choice, her timing is spot on. Velma is gearing up for a new look in Scooby-Doo: Origins, the upcoming Netflix live-action series premiering in 2027. Abby Ryder Fortson will play the gang’s resident brain, more than two decades after Linda Cardellini donned the orange turtleneck in the 2002 film.
According to the streaming giant, the eight-episode series will take viewers back to the beginning of the group, when a lost Great Dane puppy who may have seen a supernatural murder brings together Mystery Inc. in the future. And in a franchise first, Scooby himself will be played by a real dog.
It remains to be seen whether Taylor will dress up as Velma on Halloween, but she is no stranger to entertaining audiences. The influencer has built a following of over 1 million across social media, first gaining attention through dance and comedy videos on TikTok.

It wasn’t always that easy to put yourself out there. In a 2025 Snapchat video, Taylor recalled deleting some of her earliest posts after people at school made fun of her, admitting that she used to take every comment “very personally”.
Fast forward to today, and the girl who hit Delete once is completely unfazed. “You want to say something rude? Get it off your chest, baby,” she said. “I don’t mind, though.”
