The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City a star Heather Gay received a less-than-warm reception at Saturday’s Bravo Fan Fest.
While appearing on stage with Andrew Cohen during a panel, Heather was asked about the now infamous black eye and said she gave her Jen Shah on a pitching trip to San Diego two seasons ago.
However, Heather seemed to change her story during the Q&A session, now saying that she is no longer sure that Jen was the one who hurt her.
“Andrew help me,” Heather told Andrew after asking her about the black eye drama.
“I thought you said Mrs. Shah was in charge,” Andy replied to Heather.
“[Jen] he said, ‘Did I do that to you?’ Jen is the truth and I have to like to figure it out, who did it to me at the time and in what place,” said Heather to loud boos.
“He was on a casting trip. We drank too much. I woke up. I had a black eye and instead of going to the hospital or going home, I stayed and filmed and I didn’t know what happened or I didn’t know how it was going to solve,” she said.
Heather continued, “I signed up for it years before, and I lived through it, and it was terrible. And I’m still here, and that’s all I have to say.”
Fans were shocked by Heather’s change of heart as she felt confident when she blamed Jen for the blackout during RHOSLC Season 4 casting trip to Bermuda.
“I’m glad she got booed. So over her storylines and not being honest. She and Whitney can go. Bring @monicanikigarcia back!,” one person wrote in the comments section of Reality blurbs Instagram post about Heather’s comments.
“@Bravotv @bravoandy please put @heathergay on permanent suspension. The viewers want it,” said another.
“It was 5 years ago ffs how far is she going to drag this tired old story out when she knows all along what happened,” said a third person.
“Suddenly we’re short of receipts, confirmation, timeline, screenshots 🤔 that’s weird,” said a fourth person using Heather’s own signature line against her.
Back on season 4, Heather said she had “covered” for Jen for three years and was scared. She remembered that Jen had come into her room the next morning during the journey and asked if she had given Heather a black eye and Heather said that she had told her that she would cover for her. This season ended in January 2024.
However, despite the fact that Jen was in prison when Heather entered, she denied giving Heather the black eye through her agents.
Even more, Jen tweeted last week that she might finally be ready to talk about Heather’s black eye incident.
Jen wrote on October 16, “Sooo … is it finally time to talk about the black eye? I have a few things to clean up.”
For now, Jen has yet to respond to Heather changing her story.
