While her husband, Travis Kelcecompeting at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, October 18, Swift was photographed greeting his mother, Donna Kelcewith a wide smile and a loving hug.
The newlyweds also had a game day outing that included celebrity guests, but Swift’s joyous meeting with Donna became the highlight of the series.

Taylor Swift was watching the Chiefs from row with WNBA star Caitlin Clark and singer Este Haim when she saw Donna.

The couple also showed their support for Kansas City through their outfits. She wore a red turtleneck bodysuit, with long sleeves, gold nail polish and a red lipstick.
Meanwhile, Donna wore a black denim jacket decorated with studs and a large “KC” logo on the back.

The family game day gathering began before kickoff. Donna and her ex-husband, Ed Kelce, joined their oldest son, retired Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce, for a special gate in the Arrowhead Stadium parking lot.
The 38-year-old helped rally fans outside the Kansas City venue, with clips of the rally shared on the New Heights X account. In one video, he cheered as a fan tried to dunk a long-distance basketball into a hoop.
In another clip that was shared on the account there was another interaction between Jason and the fans of the rally.
In the clip, the former NFL star seemed excited as he took a helmet from a happy fan and put it on. “Jason is here and ready to join the 92%ers.”
Donna’s Swift Tribute Came In A Quiet Fashion Choice
Taylor Swift’s reaction to her mother-in-law at a recent Chiefs game was no surprise given the close bond between the two.
In July 2026, Donna proved the depth of their relationship when she was photographed in New York wearing a teal cap emblazoned with “Eldest Daughter”, the title of one of Swift’s songs.
According to The Blast, the 74-year-old donned the cap while strolling through the city with her brother, Don, just days after Swift and Travis’ wedding.
The couple exchanged vows at Madison Square Garden on July 3, in a ceremony attended by family members and celebrity guests.

Donna Called Swift’s Wedding ‘Magical’ After the Ceremony
Donna’s airport appearance followed her brief public comments about Taylor Swift and Travis’ wedding.
At Macy’s 50th Fourth of July celebration in New York on July 4, Donna was asked about the ceremony, which took place the day before.
“I can’t say much but it was magical, man, magical,” she said in an interview with The Blast.
Other reports also mentioned the venue as having been changed for the private celebration. One defendant, in particular, said that the decorations looked like a forest, with ferns and trees, while the seats were covered in white.
During the interview, Donna also recalled family Fourth of July traditions from when Travis and his brother, Jason, were younger.
“I remember I used to take the boys down to Lake Erie and we’d watch the fireworks in Euclid, Ohio, and we had the best time,” she said.
Donna joined Taylor Swift’s family for her Songwriting Honor
Donna also attended an important milestone in Swift’s career before the wedding celebration. On June 11, Swift was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at a ceremony in New York, and was the youngest woman to receive the honor.
As The Blast reported, Donna was there to witness the milestone and give Swift’s emotional acceptance speech.
The Grammy winner explained her songwriting career and thanked her family for the sacrifices they made to support her ambitions.
During the speech, Swift became tearful as she recognized her parents’ decision to move the family from Pennsylvania to Nashville when she was young.
She said, “I can never express my gratitude to you for doing that for me. You are the reason I am here tonight.” Donna was in attendance with Swift and Travis’ family.
