Joe John recently he found himself facing a moment that made him shudder. The actor’s thoughts quickly turned to two people most important to him: his children.
Disney alum shares his children with ex-wife Sophie Turner. They married in 2019 and welcomed their first daughter, Willa Jonas, the following year. They welcomed their second daughter, Delphine Jonas, in 2022, before going their separate ways two years later.
Unlike the marriage, however, that was not the end of the parenting journey, and they have given some understanding of what that looks like now.

While appearing on an episode of “The Morgan Stewart Show,” Joe revealed the terrible ordeal he had while on vacation in Italy.
The “This Is Me” singer was trying to get off a boat and onto a smaller tender when he fell between the two boats and into the rocky water. “But as I was taking a step, a wave came in and pushed the boat far out from the yacht,” he said.
The musician admitted that it was like a bougie problem, falling off a boat while on holiday, but the timing was scary for him.
Stewart saw the whole thing unfold, and she couldn’t help but agree with the pop star that it was a chill time. “I was like, ‘Vacation is over. Vacation is over,'” she explained. “It’s going to hit him in the head, and we’re going to lose a Jonas Brother.
While trying to save the “Honey Blonde” singer from the water, the first mate also fell in. “We’re between those boats,” he recalled. “We’re fully dressed, I’ve got my phone in my pocket, everything. And I come up, I’m so out of it. I’m just like, ‘What the f-ck happened?'”
Joe quickly realized that he had to get out of the water, and he tried to swim over to the tender boat and get in, but he must have hit a shin because he fell back in again. He was successful on the second attempt, however, moving forward on the boat getting wet.

The situation gave Joe an opportunity to reflect on what was really important to him, and his daughters, Willa and Delphine, quickly came to mind.
Later at the dinner, the full impact of the situation hit the Teen Choice Awards winner despite reassuring everyone that he was fine.
“I finally came out of that worry, and looked at him [Tatiana Gabriela]”Joe’s girlfriend. “I was like, ‘That was really scary. That really bothered me for a while. It was really intense. ”
His first thought was that he had to speak to his daughters immediately, saying, “I just have to call them. I have to see them,” he said, “I have to see their faces.”
In the end, he was grateful that he had the best result of a bad situation, thinking about how life moves so quickly.
Joe Jonas praised his co-parenting relationship with Sophie Turner
The instinct to reach out to his children paralleled the close bond the “Cake By The Ocean” singer has continued to prioritize after his split from Turner.
Despite a public split and rocky custody battle at first, Turner and Joe eventually found a rhythm that worked for them, which the “Camp Rock” actor described last year as “beautiful.”
He also told how grateful he was for the balance they received.
“Having an amazing mother, Sophie, for these girls is like a dream come true,” Joe said of the “Game of Thrones” actress, according to The Blast. “As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them.”
Although there is no doubt that the couple’s daughters look up to the famous actress, Turner does not want them to be like her.
Being a child herself, the “DarkPhoenix” actress was emotional talking about the remake of “Harry Potter”.
She lamented that she just wanted to give them a hug and tell them everything would be okay while ignoring big sister’s advice: they should stay off social media and keep their family close.
When asked what she would do if her own daughters decided to follow in her footsteps, Turner said, as reported by The Blast, “Oh God, they’re not acting! Not until they’re at least 25!”
Joe Jonas had to go to therapy after the disappointment of his first solo album
Away from co-parenting with Turner, the former Disney Channel star has experienced the highest levels of the entertainment industry.
Joe’s first solo album, “Fastlife,” did not perform as well as other Jonas Brothers joint projects. The album peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200, and its lead single, “See No More,” reached No. 92 on the Billboard Hot 100.
After the painful flop, Joe started having panic attacks, causing a doctor to recommend a treatment, which he said changed his life in the end.
The Jonas Brothers member then realized that he tied the album’s success to his self-worth, believing that proving it on his own would show that he was important, as reported on The Blast.
