Captain Lee Rosbach he revealed how much a charter really costs, because he was telling the guests that Below deck get a “well discounted rate.”
Captain Lee was the first captain of the Below deck franchise, but after he stopped filming in season 10 for health reasons, he was replaced Captain Kerry Titheradge.
In a recent Cameo shared by @cameorealityTV on TikTok, Captain Lee shared more details about the costs of charters on Below Deck.
“The guests you see on the show, they get a discounted rate,” Lee said. “Because usually a ship like Saint David, the one I captained last, was $350,000 a week, plus food, and another 30% for that, and alcohol, plus fuel, and dock, plus, plus, and 20 percent for the tip.”
“If you didn’t want to send 25 or 30 [percent]Lee said the total cost could be around “half a million” for a week.
Back in 2024, Lee mentioned his conflict with Below deck Mediterraneanand Captain Sandy Yawn.
“I did an interview, and they asked me, point blank, ‘Do you like Captain Sandy?’ And I said, ‘Well, you asked a question, so I’ll give you the honest answer. No, it’s that simple,’” Lee said at the time in an interview for The Standard. “I know you asked the question. You want an honest answer? I gave it to you. I don’t feel like I need an explanation. You know why I don’t, or elaborate on anything, but let’s just say my wedding invitation got lost in the mail.”
Lee was referring to Sandy’s wedding to Leah Shafer.
He then mentioned his exit from the show. “I miss it,” he said. “I miss the travel. I miss the challenges. And there’s certainly no shortage of challenges on board, each one unique and different. So, yeah, I miss it.”
When asked if they approached him about returning, Lee replied, “Nobody talked to me about it, and if they wanted to, I’ll tell you because that’s why they won’t tell me anything. I can’t keep it to myself.”
