Hi, Days of Our Lives followers. So, in comes Dominic Marino Salem any day now. Its first official air date is Monday, November 2nd. But honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kyle Pryor make his debut on October 30th during SalemHalloween, with Dominic appearing in a black masquerade mask.
And once he is in town, he is going to meet many of his siblings from all sides of his family tree: those of his father, Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), and other children of his mother, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). I’m just wondering if Dominic will come with a complaint against his sisters. Let’s talk about it.
Days of Our Lives: What we know about Dominic
So, we know more now than we ever did about Dominic Marino, but it’s still not enough. Stefano’s latest offspring is a billionaire Italian hedge fund guy, but I’m sure Dominic is headed for Salem to claim Stefano’s empire, and perhaps even the family home.
Marlena recently found out, quite unexpectedly, that she seems to have a son with Stefano out of nowhere. Dominic was born at the time Marlena was held captive by Stefano on his island in the early 90s. And for some of that time, Marlena was in a coma.
Also during that time, she was a surrogate for Gemini couple Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow). But Marlena doesn’t remember being pregnant for herself while she was in captivity. And many fans are wondering if Stefano harvested Marlena’s eggs, using his sperm, and then Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) as their surrogate.

We also know that Dominic has been working from his Italian palazzo with the help of Rita, who has known him all his life and is DiMera’s long-time henchwoman, and with the help also of Dante Vitali (Franco LoPresti), his boarding school friend, who just happens to be the girlfriend of Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), even if Dante swears.
So, Rita was the one who called Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) when they were going down that chess rabbit hole. And those clues led Chad, Belle, and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to Dominic’s home. And that’s where EJ noticed that he had the exact chess set that Stefano left as a legacy to Marlena, as well as some of Stefano’s rare cigarettes and his favorite drink.
Days of Our Lives: Dominic’s Family Tree
Unless there’s a twist that changes things, Dominic is Marlena’s secret son by Stefano, who seems to have known Dominic all his life and was involved, as seen in that childhood photo of Stefano and Dominic that Belle, EJ, and Chad found, clearly because Dominic left it out to them.
That makes him, on Marlena’s side, a half-brother to Belle, Sami, and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan). In addition, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) got Marlena as a loving stepmother, since she married John Black (Drake Hogestyn) when Brady was very young. So that means that even though Dominic and Brady are not blood brothers at all, they are going to interact.
On Stefano’s side, Dominic is also the half-brother of EJ, Chad, Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). There’s also Peter’s adopted and suspicious nephew Blake (Dan Gauthier). And Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash), are also presumed dead.
Additionally, Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) is on the loose, and Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) died again recently. So, I think Dominic might have a bone to pick with each living half-sibling for some reason, and the adopted siblings as well. So, we would see a conflict between brothers and sisters.
Dominic Versus EJ on DOOL
EJ is on high alert, as he should be, because Dominic seems to be on a mission to destroy EJ and take his place as the heir apparent. Rita even broke Stefano’s Phoenix ring that Dr. Rolf had given EJ. And now that’s on Dominic’s finger, and he lights it up from the moment it arrives Salem. That’s going to upset EJ, who might want it back.
In addition, Dominic tried to buy the Kiriakis mansion out of being under EJ until the contract fell through. And I suspect that Dominic gave up the contract, not because of Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Susanne Rogers) and the Kiriakis team destroying the house and thus failing the inspection, because obviously Dominic could have done all the repairs. But I think he dropped it because the Kiriakis family no longer needed to sell it. So EJ was out of luck. And I think that’s the only reason he’s ever wanted it.
So Dominic could resent EJ for being their favorite son and the legitimate, public head of the DiMera empire and family. Dominic could also see EJ as a direct threat to his master plan. And I’m sure Dominic sees EJ as the biggest obstacle to his takeover scheme. But luckily, Rita was sabotaging EJ for him.
Days of Our Lives: The Mystery of Chad’s Set and Chess
And then we have Chad. So maybe Dominic is annoyed with Chad for dating Dominic’s half-sister, Belle, or for Chad getting involved in the secret chess set that was meant for Marlena and John. They were the ones who were supposed to follow the clues to find Dominic inside Italy.
But Stefano died before John did, and that ruined Stefano’s plan to humiliate and punish his son, John, by burning Stefano’s son with Marlena. Plus, Chad is one of the great DiMeras. That can worry Dominic, too.
And first, when Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) revealed the chess legacy, if you remember, Marlena refused to accept Stefano’s gift. That probably pissed off Dominic.
Days of Our Lives: Tony and the DiMera Enterprises takeover
And we know it will come Salem just before the celebration of Lexie’s life. And another of Dominic’s siblings, Tony, is in town for that. So, I suspect that Dominic is going to make it known to everyone by knocking over Lexie’s memorial.
Dominic can also resent Tony for being a part of Stefano’s life publicly all these years, and for the status and acceptance he also gets as one of the few good DiMeras. So Dominic and Tony could go against each other if Dominic wants to take over DiMera Enterprisesbecause Tony is very involved. He is the one who replaced Theo as CEO, but now he has resigned, and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) wants to retire as well. So that’s set to take over for Dominic right now.
DOOL: Will Kristen Pledge Loyalty to Dominic?
Kristen is still hiding Salem. Maybe she would apply herself once she discovers Dominic’s in town. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kristen offers her loyalty to Dominic, because she despises EJ. And Kristen might even ask for Dominic’s protection from EJ. But maybe Dominic also despises Kristen for living openly like DiMera, even though Stefano adopted her and she wasn’t a bio child.
Neither was Peter. So they might get ahead, though. We’ll see, because Dominic and Kristen have shady, manipulative sides. But maybe Dominic didn’t like that Kristen turned on the DiMeras and tried to murder her own nephew. That’s not a good look Days of Our Lives. Plus, Dominic might not like that Kristen had a kid with Brady, who is as close to Marlena as any of her bio kids.
Days of Our Lives: Marlena’s Children in Dominic’s Crosshairs
So, I also think that Brady is going to be very protective of Marlena where Dominic is concerned. And maybe Stefano taught Dominic to hate Brady’s father, John, and thus to hate Brady. Therefore, we could see a conflict between brothers and sisters where Dominic opposes the other children raised by Marlena, and the respect she has for them. We are talking about Belle and Eric and Sami.
I’m sure Dominic knows a lot about Marlena’s kids from Dante spilling the pillow talking secrets he picked up from Sami, because maybe she really is part of Dominic’s schedule, since her boyfriend, Dante, is so close to Dominic. And of course, Eric was always Marlena’s golden boy. So, Dominic can be angry with him too.
We’ll see how it goes, and if Dominic has problems with all the children that Stefano and Marlena had alone, or raised, or adopted, or if Dominic has a problem with EJ only, because he sits at the top of the pile and is the king of DiMera’s castle, when that’s where Dominic thinks he should be sitting. So, he might focus on EJ and then play nice with his other siblings while they scheme behind their backs, Stefano style.
